Creé esta imagen para una asociación que lucha contra el cancer de mama, llamada “CRIS contra el cáncer”. Iba a subirla el día 19 de este mes, ya que fue el día internacional de la lucha contra el cáncer de mama, ¡pero no me fue possible!

La mitología griega asocia la flor de loto con una hermosa diosa que

huyendo asustada se adentró en un bosque, donde fue a parar a un pantano

llamado Loto, donde cayó y se hundió. Ese lugar simboliza las dificultades que nos

pone l...

a vida. Tras una larga lucha, la joven diosa logró salir a flote convertida en

una hermosa flor de largos pétalos, la que hoy conocemos como flor de loto. Por

ello, la flor de loto representa que es posible triunfar sobre la adversidad.

En esta obra intento mostrar que la voluntad ayuda en la lucha contra los

problemas. Aunque sea precisa la ayuda externa la ayuda más importante proviene

de uno mismo. Por eso me he utilizado como la misma modelo; ella se encuentra ayudándose a sí misma.

I made this image for an organization which fights breast cancer calles “CRIS contra el cancer”. I was going to upload it the 19th of this month, since it’s the international day for the fight against breast cancer, but I wasn’t able to do it!

Greek Mythology associates the lotus flower with a beautiful goddess who as she was running away into the depths of a forest from something/someone that frightened her, she landed into a swamp called Lotus, where she fell and began to sink. After fighting for a longtime, the goddess managed to stay afloat by turning into a beautiful flower with long petals, known now as lotus flower. Therefore, the lotus flower represents that it is possible to triumph over any adversity. This image attempts to show that will helps in the fight against any difficulty. Although help from others is needed, the most important help comes from oneself. That’s why I used myself as both models, she is helping herself.

Fotos del mismo campo de amapolas, del año pasado, con Elena, que es guapísima. Costó mucho hacer esta fotografía (los pétalos del aire tenía que tirarlos yo), pero valió la pena, un día precioso.

Once again, from last year,this poppy field with the gorgeous Elena. It was hard to take this picture(I had to throw the petals in the air), biut it was all worthy. It was a beautiful day.

Lo más difícil (y espeluznante) que he hecho. Hice yo misma los cuernos y el peniado me costó muchísimo. Y después sentada en la silla, sentía y podía ver arañas y otros insectos andar sobre mis brazos y el pecho.
Valió la pena.

Hardest (and creepiest) thing I've ever done. I made myself the horns and the hairstyle was a pain. And then in the setting I could see and feel spiders and other insects running up and down my arms and chest.
It was all worth it.

I swear there is NO editing here! (well, I won't lie, I cut the image to make it square).
I was preparing myself for a photoshoot, and after I painted one eye and put one of the contact lenses, I was like, 'woah, makes a difference'. Had never really realized until now. Pale perfect skin, blue feline eye, big lips. And then freckled face, brown eye, no eyelashes.
Bam, cleaned my right side and took a picture. Just look at what make-up can do.
Sweet.

Juro que no hay ni una pizca de procesado! (bueno no voy a mentir, corté la imagen para que fuera un cuadrado).
Me estaba preparando para una sesión, y después de que me pintase un ojo y me pusiera una lentilla, pensé 'wow, pues si que hay diferencia'. Nunca me había dado cuenta hasta ahora. Piel perfecta y pálida, ojo azul y felino, labios generosos. Y luego cara pecosa, ojo marrón, pestañas enanas.
Bam. Me limpié el lado derecho y me hice una foto.
Mira lo que puede hacer el maquillaje.
